Allyn Hall Turner

Originally from San Diego, Allyn moved to the Bay Area for the first time to attend UC Santa Cruz. After spending her junior year in the UK, Allyn completed her BA in Medieval Studies. Although a somewhat impractical degree, Allyn found it to be of good use during her 5 years in Chicago working in the second-hand and antiquarian book trade. In 2003 Allyn returned to the Bay and immediately enrolled in a massage therapy training course. A year later Allyn graduated with honors from National Holistic Institute in Emeryville with a certificate in Massage Therapy and Health Education. While establishing her private massage therapy practice, Allyn returned to NHI as an Instructor/Mentor at the San Francisco Campus. Over her 8 years with NHI she rose to Senior Instructor & Teacher Trainer for all seven NHI campuses in California. Allyn continued her love of health and wellness with a MA in Integrated Health Studies at California Institute of Integral Studies, as well as certificates in both Wellness Coaching and Guided Imagery. When she isn’t geeking out about the intersection of human anatomy, science, and holistic wellness, Allyn spends her free time gardening and enjoying life with her husband and friends.
